The Project was set up in March 2007 to deliver an authoritative reference
for the Assurance Model by January 2008. In doing this it will also
establish whether the Model is complete as it is, compare this against
CESG's current assurance services and recommend actions to take the
Model forward.
The Project uses an iterative development methodology to refine the
definitions and concepts underpinning the Model. This work is now
nearly complete and communications by the Project will now focus beyond
CESG to the wider community. Activity will concentrate on gathering
input into the case studies for assessing the Model to make it both
accessible and usable to the wider community.
Given the significance of the Model and the timescales, CESG requested
an OGC Healthcheck to review the Project and the environment it’s
delivering into. The review has recently completed and CESG is giving
careful thought to taking forward the recommendations.
